Dirty Dancing

Chris was most recently Musical Director for the West End Production of Saturday Night Fever at the Apollo Victoria, and Musical Associate for the UK Tour. He was also Musical Director for the Scandinavian Tour and original UK Tour. Chris initially trained as a classical French Horn player. However, his interest in the theatre led him to Middlesex Polytechnic where he was able to develop his skills as a Conductor and Musical Director. He graduated with (BA) Hons in Performance Arts.

Prior to his work on Saturday Night Fever, he was Musical Director for the German production of Starlight Express, and Associate Musical Director for both the German production and the Swiss/European Tour of Cats.

Additional credits as Musical Director or musician include My Fair Lady, How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, Annie, Cabaret, Guys and Dolls, Brigadoon, High Society and Sugar (Some Like It Hot) and Passion. In the recording studio, Chris has orchestrated and Musical Directed a number of compilation recordings of show music for The Long Island Music Company.

His work on Saturday Night Fever has led him to develop his skills as a programmer and as a result, he assisted in the programming of the recent UK Tour of Starlight Express.

More recently, he Musical Directed a workshop of Little Women, by Gavin Sutherland (Bloomsbury Theatre, London) and has led Musical Theatre Workshops for children and young adults (both in the UK and Switzerland).
